We frequently assist people who have limited support from family and friends, or who need additional assistance to continue living in their own home. The services we provide help reduce social isolation and maintain independent living. Volunteers who are in direct contact with clients are DBS checked. We also support volunteers to meet each other via social gatherings.

In 2022, Biggleswade Good Neighbours was awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS). This is equivalent to a MBE.  The group has been running for approximately a decade and supports hundreds of people each year. 

 

Biggleswade Good Neighbours is overseen by the Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity. There are many Good Neighbour groups across the county and you can find a list of them here.
